Operations Director

HNC Building, FCMI and MCIOB qualified and accredited. An industry leader. One of Scotland’s foremost stone and heritage works authorities. Vast experience and professionalism in both modern construction and listed buildings restoration, managing projects of local, national and international importance.

Spearheads proactive approaches across all Ashwood operating sectors. Expert technical knowledge, precision planning and meticulous audit skills ensure Ashwood contract performance and delivery of unique, innovative and value engineered project solutions. Past President of the Stone Federation of Great Britain.

Archie Meikle

Non-Executive Chair

HNC Construction Management qualified and vastly experienced, Archie set up his own specialist subcontract business at the age of 21, developed it, successfully sold it and held senior board positions with a UK PLC and a multi-disciplinary Scottish construction group before co-founding Ashwood Scotland Limited in 1999.

Archie remains actively involved in business development, identifying new project and development opportunities and still leads mentoring for our apprentices and younger personnel. He continues the philosophy that people must be placed at the very centre of everything Ashwood Scotland does.
