At Old College – the University’s oldest and most architecturally and historically significant building – Ashwood delivered ‘A’ listed building façade conservation and restoration works in the most challenging of city centre live environments.

Works comprised minor roof slating repairs, roof leadwork, multiple carved feature stone repairs; indent repairs; lime mortar repointing; soft cleaning due to the sensitive building fabric; feature lighting; lightning protection; bird protection; overhauling and conservation repairs to existing high level feature window grilles and minor redecoration.

Same team, tried-and-trusted relationships from previous projects ensured contractual and commercial matters, (survey/schedule/costing of stone repairs) were amicably negotiated and concluded early, meeting our key Customer’s high value, low risk, hit-the-ground-running, programme-certainty, cost-certainty project requirements.
